Late Siddhi Sundar Dhaubadel
Siddhi was killed in a road accident 14 years ago. His father Shyam Sundar was hit hard when he couldn't be saved as it took time to reach the hospital 15km away. He decided to open a medical treatment center in Bhaktapur. He used the seven-ropani of land he had bought for establishing a factory for the Siddhi Memorial Foundation and built a hospital, elderly home and a garden. Supported by various donars, the hospital now employs seven doctors, 10 nurses and eight paramedics and provides treatment in nominal cost.
